Listing claims and correction requests
Claim-process notice effective 27 July 2026. When you ask to claim or correct a barber shop listing, we collect your name, work email, optional phone number, relationship to the business and the verification details you choose to provide. Approved corrections and booking information may be collected during follow-up.
- We use this information to verify that you are authorised to represent the business, prevent unauthorised changes, contact you about the request and maintain an internal review record.
- Claim contact and verification details are stored in a private WordPress record available only to site administrators. They are not added to the public listing.
- The claim form uses a temporary, pseudonymous rate-limit key derived from the connection address to reduce automated abuse. The claim tool does not store the raw address in the claim record.
- Resolved claim records are scheduled for automatic deletion after 180 days. Every claim record, including a request still awaiting review, is scheduled for deletion after 365 days from submission.
- Do not send passwords or identity documents through the claim form. If further evidence is needed, we will explain an appropriate verification method.
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal information connected with a claim by contacting us. Include the business name and the email address used for the request so we can locate it.
